Running Scores app in Panic mode

Modified on Fri, 31 May 2019 at 09:39 AM

First, Panic Mode should only be used in the case of total desperation because no data entered in Panic Mode can be synced to FIBA 3x3 data platform and all data must be re-created from scratch to meet the requirements of being FIBA 3x3 Endorsed.

In this scenario, the scores app can be run in so-called Panic Mode, assuming that the Panic Mode has been at least once pre-provisioned to the computer.

In order to enter Panic Mode, write panicmode as the Event Scoring Code (ESC).

This establishes a scoring session which is totally independent of the FIBA 3x3 data platform, using local data only. Still, the features of the same and one can create a Custom Game

Now, as the data is not syncable to the platform and it cannot be exported but works only for display purposes, it may not be necessary to use all the rich features of score-keeping such as assigning points to a player.

Important Note: It is highly advised that all organizers relying on scores.fiba3x3.com app, ensure the offline availability of the Panic Mode by logging into it at once prior the event with the scoring computer and/or have it ready in a backup computer. Note that the Panic Mode data resides in the App Data of the browser, so if the browsing data of the browser gets deleted totally, it will need to be re-provisioned.
